Longevity has stopped being a Silicon Valley curiosity. Over the past four years, the field has crossed the line from speculative science to institutional industry. Tech billionaires have poured billions into it. Sovereign wealth funds have arrived. The first human trial of partial cellular reprogramming starts this year, with FDA clearance already in hand. A drug targeting the underlying biology of ageing is closer to approval than at any point in medical history.
We wanted to know who was actually building all of this. Not the loudest voices. The people writing the cheques, running the companies, doing the science, and shaping where the field goes next.
So we ranked them.
The Unfiltered Longevity 100 scores 100 figures across five weighted criteria (capital power, scientific credibility, strategic influence, original impact and public profile) and ranks them out of 100. Investors, founders, scientists, and a small number of influencers. Some of the names you would expect. Some of the names you would not. The number one will not surprise anyone in the industry. Several of the entries in the top 10 will.
The list sits inside The Longevity Money Map, a 66-page report charting the science, the capital and the geography driving the field. The report walks through the five scientific theories investors are now betting on. It tracks the boom-bust funding cycle that shook out the speculative money in 2023 and brought the serious money back in 2024. It maps where the capital sits, where the science is happening, and where the two are starting to diverge. It includes interviews with senior industry figures: Phil Newman of Longevity.Technology, Andrea Tassistro of Owkin, Stefan Eckhard of Callisto Health, and Elisabeth Roider of Maximon.
Some of the bets in the report will fail. The most ambitious ones almost certainly will. But the field has now passed the point where it can be dismissed as Silicon Valley vanity or fringe science. Something is being built. The people building it do not have time to wait.
